Amin Jiwa has over 15 years of experience as a Senior Procurement Specialist in both the public and private sector. His experiences range from leading high value procurement initiatives as well as providing strategic procurement advisory services. Amin’s focus is to structure, plan and execute procurement initiatives to align with organizational objectives. This is achieved through his vast experience in scope development, stakeholder engagement, supplier management, contracts management, and strong negotiation skills. Amin has the ability to successfully execute complex procurements in various industries demonstrated through his diverse professional engagements. He also has significant in-depth knowledge of relevant trade agreements such as the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), the Canadian-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), and the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP). Additionally, Amin has extensive experience with regional procurement directives and regulations including the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directive.
Amin completed his Bachelors in Commerce Degree with a specialization in Finance from the University of Ottawa and obtained his Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM) Designation in 2013. He is currently pursuing his Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) Designation from Supply Chain Canada (SCC) and recently obtained his Canadian Law Certificate from The Procurement Office. Amin holds a Level II Secret Clearance with the Government of Canada.
